My initial endeavours in the world of motor racing were in my mid twenties, back in the UK. Racing in a very competitive single make series running the Renault 5TS. During those years I met some fantastically friendly guys who become solid friends and still are to this day.
Having moved to Arizona, USA I had the good fortune to bump into Rick Morris, or "Ricky Booby" as he's know at a business network meeting. He and his buddy Curt were looking for another driver for their 24 Hours of Lemons team and that's how I ended up with these clowns!
Far from being clowns, they and other members of the Red Rock Racers comprise a mutlitude of mechanical and engineering skills, from Boeing to nuclear submarines!
Together we set about rebuilding their scruffy Nissan 300Z which we went on to race at Laguna Seca, Millsports, Sonoma and Las Vegas. See the full story on the build here | More on the races here.
Following on from that, we decided to go a step further and The Porschette was born, a long and painful birth followed by a troublesome childhood but it was worht it. A Porsche 944 with a Chevrolet 350 small block motor.
